Olivia Camgros

What I love about working with clay is the transformation from just a simple block of clay into a very personal and individual piece of art. Whether I'm working on the wheel or hand building, there are endless possibilities to explore with form, surface texture and glazes.

I study Ikebana (the art of Japanese flower arranging) and it's deeply satisfying to use an original self-made container to compliment my arrangements, and it allows me to have a more integrated composition.

Pitfire

What I love about the Pit Fires is the sense of community that we share during the process and the mystery of what we’ll find once the fire has cooled and we retrieve our pieces from the ashes. You never know exactly how they will come out, and that’s the best part!
