Nadia Tarzi-Saccardi
“A blessed way of life: I create therefore I am”
My work is inspired by everyone and everything around me, ancient and contemporary, visible and invisible, microscopic and colossal, plain and sophisticated, in other words, life as simple and elusive as it comes.
One with my peers I instinctively respond to a universal and ancient impulse, to create art, manifest that what wants to be seen.
I strive to bridge my own interpretation of nature, the manifestation of my dreams and my emotional response to “life” with a medium unlike any other. Gifted from the earth’s crust, this eroded igneous rock combined with minerals offers phenomenal properties that make the art of ceramics a never-ending dance of exploration and discovery.
I take immense pleasure in creating, learning and teaching about how to transform clay into a piece of art, adding a mark to a 29,000 years old legacy.
