Ellen Leo
I have long been fascinated with the world of form and spatial relationships.
In my clay work I use organic and geometric shapes -either exclusively, or together. The pieces usually represent a step in the process of morphing or changing, or they are a composite, a montage showing more than one step at the same time.
I’m inspired to make works about feelings or situations which have stirred me. I finesse and finish some parts of a piece more than others -allowing the markings of process to also enjoy a quality of expression.
