Corienne Bannier
I was looking for something to do creatively after retirement. A friend suggested that I take a class in ceramics. I did and I never looked back.
Creating with clay offers me endless possibilities to explore shapes, textures, glazes, and techniques. I like its flexibility, its coolness, and witnessing its transformation. The entire process from a blob to the finished piece is amazing. Clay has been a subtle, gentle, and tough teacher as well. I learned when to slow down and when to speed up, to be observant and attentive of timing, and to be patient with the process. A wonderful creative experience.
