Extravagant Teardrop

Jo Clarke

Abstract shapes are recognizable in form but are essentially not real as they are simplified versions of organic shapes. The teardrop implies the shape of a falling drop of water. I am drawn to the form's simplicity and geometry and the different effects of color, pattern and texture.

Extravagant Teardrop combines deep colors, with strong geometric stripes, matt and gloss surfaces with gold luster to create a luxurious and extravagant piece.

Slab built abstract form in porcelain, Black and Teal under-glazed with gold luster
